Virtual Private Servers let you have the root on a server as if you were on a true dedicated server, at a fraction of the cost. Performance remains almost unchanged, as we do not put to many customers on the same hardware.

We will often spend an hour or two for no extra charge helping you get your VPS set up the way you need it (e.g. installing extra software you need). Or we'll give you a hand moving over from your old host. Other hosts, either don't provide this setup service or charge mercilessly for it.
Location
Our VPS servers are based in the UK In Redbus data centre Docklands, London in our opinion the best place in the UK for web hosting. Ping or traceroute 87.117.194.66 to see the latency from your geographical location.
Hardware & Software
We use Supermicro 1U server chassis and motherboards with core2duo processors, storage and data redundancy is handled by 2 x SATA drives configured as a RAID1 Linux software raid under Debian Linux. Your virtual server will be hosted in a native LVM partition on the same physical server your VPS is on for faster access (no slow NFS access here) and we have never more than 12 to 16 customers on the same server to provide good quality service.
Xen virtualization software
We use the state of the art virtualization system for virtual hosting Xen. With Xen, end users enjoy short CPU, hard drive and network latencies thanks to accurate scheduling (note: this is totally different from other virtualization technologies like UML, vServer or Virtuozzo). Memory is not shared and not burstable among users, the physical memory is simply split a slice that we rent to you, the same way we do with LVM HDD slices.
VPS control panel
We use an open source control panel for Xen VPS hosting. This solution gives our customer the ability to start/shutdown/force-shutdown a virtual server. With it, you can as well do a file system check (fsck) and reinstall your operating system from scratch with few clicks on our control panel. Another nice feature is that once you have processed the account opening form and payment, your account will be opened instantly, and your operating system installed. All you will have to do is start the virtual machine by clicking on the "boot-up" button, setup a root password, and start using your VPS.
VPS Packages and setup
free setup including the control panel and free software maintenance if you choose DTC + Debian stable. Note if you choose Debian we will install DTC for your for free allowing you to start selling web hosting straight away!
- DEBIAN (Recommended)
- We can setup woody and sarge systems as you require, and this
solution is fully managed, including our control panel and it's
dependencies. Later you can upgrade to testing or unstable if you like.
- CentOS
- We can setup CentOS 3, and later upgrade to
4. CentOS is a very nice
open source fork of RedHat. Software and operating system maintenance
is your responsibility.
- Gentoo
- We can setup Gentoo. Gentoo is a very nice source based linux
distribution. We suggest you to take enough memory to be able to
recompile the software you will need. Software and operating system
maintenance is your responsibility.
- NetBSD - NetBSD 3.0 can be setup as Xen domU kernel is natively supported by the NetBSD source kernels. Software and operating system maintenance is your responsibility.
- Ubuntu - Coming soon, Ubuntu is a community developed operating system. Proving to be very popular for new users and advanced users alike.

Payment Process
When you register your VPS, you will be redirected to our registration server this process is fully automated, and after payment your VPS will start to setup automatically. However, you are strongly encouraged to send an e-mail to us stating all the requirements for your VPS like: operating system (Debian Sarge with DTC control panel, Debian (without DTC), NetBSD, CentOS...), and anything else you think we should know. Note that our normal setup includes only one (LVM backend) ext3 partition, and a swap partition equal to amount of memory. We discourage you to use another type of setup, because this would go away from our standards, and thus preventing to use our control panel tools (fsck, automatic OS reinstallation, etc...). Also, using a swap file is known as to be a very dangerous solution, as this file could be read-only in the case of your root file system is remounted read-only as well.
